Is the WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel, compatible with 24° DIN 2353 hoses and standard metric external threads on both sides?

Yes. The WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel is compatible with 24° DIN 2353 hoses and with standard metric external threads on both sides. The product description specifies a 24° DIN 2353 socket and external metric threads on both ends, and it is supplied with a counter nut for proper connection to DIN 2353 fittings. It is available in light (L) and heavy (S) series and made of galvanized carbon steel, so it conforms to the 24° sealing geometry and standard metric thread interfaces used with DIN 2353 hose fittings.

Does the WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel, come with counter nuts pre-installed for both L and S series?

Yes. The WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel is supplied with counter nuts pre-installed for both L (light) and S (heavy) series. It is a 24° DIN 2353 angular wall fitting with a socket and external metric thread on both sides, made of galvanized carbon steel, and available in both series with counter nuts included.

Can the WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel, L and S series be used in hydraulic systems requiring zinc-plated corrosion protection?

Yes. the WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel, L and S series can be used in hydraulic systems that require zinc-plated corrosion protection, with these caveats: - Corrosion protection: The description states material is carbon steel, galvanized. Galvanizing (zinc coating) provides sacrificial corrosion protection suitable for many hydraulic applications, so the fittings meet basic zinc-plated protection requirements. - Compatibility with hydraulic fluids and pressure: Zinc-plated carbon steel is commonly used for hydraulic fittings per DIN 2353; ensure the specific hydraulic fluid, operating temperature, and system pressure are compatible with galvanized carbon steel and with the L (light) or S (heavy) series pressure ratings. - Thread and sealing: The WSV bulkhead angle fitting uses 24° DIN 2353 cone connections with counter nut and external metric threads. Proper assembly and torquing per DIN 2353 are required to achieve leak-free joints; the zinc coating should not interfere with sealing surfacesâif coating thickness or damage occurs at the cone sealing area, reconditioning or removal of excess plating may be necessary. - Environmental and longevity considerations: In aggressive environments (chlorides, seawater, acidic conditions), standard galvanizing may be insufficient; consider additional corrosion protection (e.g., zinc-nickel plating, stainless steel fittings, or protective coatings) for long-term service. Recommendation: Verify the systemâs fluid, pressure/temperature, and environmental exposure against the manufacturerâs specifications for the WSV bulkhead angle fitting, carbon steel (L or S). If higher corrosion resistance is required, choose an alternative material or enhanced plating.
