Can WEICON Adhesive Activator be used on absorbent surfaces to safely and effectively accelerate the curing of WE-VA adhesives?

Yes. WEICON Adhesive Activator Format is formulated specifically for use on absorbent surfaces and to accelerate the curing of WE-VA adhesives. Applied to the porous substrate before bonding, it penetrates and primes the surface, allowing WE-VA adhesives to cure faster and more reliably without being absorbed away. For best results, apply a thin, even coat of WEICON Adhesive Activator Format, allow the solvent to flash off briefly until the surface is tacky but dry to the touch, then apply the WE-VA adhesive and join the parts. Ensure compatibility with the specific absorbent material and test on a small area if in doubt. Follow safety and ventilation guidelines on the packaging.

Is WEICON Adhesive Activator suitable for pre-treating porous materials to speed WE-VA adhesive curing?

Yes. WEICON Adhesive Activator Format is suitable for pre-treating porous (absorbent) materials to accelerate the curing of WE-VA adhesives. Apply the activator to the porous surface according to instructions, allow appropriate flash-off time, then apply the WE-VA adhesive; curing will proceed faster than on untreated absorbent substrates. Packaging: 150 ml.

Does WEICON Adhesive Activator (150 ml) work on porous substrates to hasten WE-VA adhesive cure?

Yes. WEICON Adhesive Activator (150 ml) is formulated specifically for absorbent (porous) substrates and to accelerate the curing of WE-VA adhesives. When applied to porous surfaces, it primes the substrate by reducing absorption of the adhesive and providing an active surface that promotes faster, more reliable curing of WE-VA products. This improves bond strength and reduces open time on materials like wood, textiles, untreated concrete, plaster, and other absorbent materials. Use instructions (summary): - Apply a thin, even coat of WEICON Adhesive Activator (150 ml) to the porous substrate. - Allow the activator to flash off briefly so the solvent evaporates (follow specific product guidance for exact flash time). - Apply the WE-VA adhesive and join parts; curing will proceed faster and more consistently than on untreated porous surfaces. Limitations and tips: - Do not overapply; excess activator can impair bonding. - Test on a small area if the substrate is unusual or sensitive. - Ensure adequate ventilation and follow safety instructions on the packaging. In short: WEICON Adhesive Activator (150 ml) does work on porous substrates to hasten the cure of WE-VA adhesives, improving bond reliability and reducing setting time when used as directed.
