How does the Automatic SAC trigger perform condensate discharge in BIT, NEW DEAL, and SKILLAR systems?

The Automatic SAC trigger performs condensate discharge in BIT, NEW DEAL, and SKILLAR systems by sensing condensate level and initiating a brief, controlled blowdown to remove accumulated liquid while preventing steam loss. Installed in the steam line condensate pocket or receiver, the Automatic SAC trigger uses a float or level-sensing element linked to a quick-acting valve mechanism. As condensate rises to a preset threshold, the sensor actuates the trigger which opens the discharge valve for a short, metered interval . long enough to expel condensate but too short to allow significant live steam escape. After the pulse, the valve reseats automatically and the sensing element returns to monitoring mode. The timing and actuation are tuned for each platform (BIT, NEW DEAL, SKILLAR) to match their condensate loads and line pressures, ensuring repeatable, energy-efficient purging and reducing water hammer and corrosion risks. The Automatic SAC trigger thus provides reliable intermittent condensate removal without continuous venting, preserving system efficiency and protecting downstream equipment.

What maintenance is required for the Automatic SAC trigger when used in BIT, NEW DEAL, and SKILLAR systems?

What maintenance is required for the Automatic SAC trigger when used in BIT, NEW DEAL, and SKILLAR systems? The Automatic SAC trigger requires minimal maintenance: periodic visual inspection for external damage or leaks, verification of secure mounting and correct alignment, and checking inlet/outlet connections for tightness and cleanliness. Ensure the condensate strainer (if fitted) is clean to prevent clogging, and verify proper drainage path. Test operation under normal system conditions occasionally to confirm reliable opening/closing and absence of air locking. Replace seals or gaskets if signs of wear or leakage appear. Follow manufacturer-recommended inspection intervals and replace the unit at end of service life.

Can Automatic SAC trigger be retrofitted into existing BIT, NEW DEAL, or SKILLAR installations?

Yes. in most cases the Automatic SAC trigger can be retrofitted into existing BIT, NEW DEAL, or SKILLAR installations. The Automatic SAC trigger Format was designed for compatibility with these systems and supports straightforward integration with existing condensate lines and control interfaces. Key points: - Mechanical fit: The triggerâs inlet/outlet and mounting options match common connection standards used in BIT, NEW DEAL, and SKILLAR assemblies, allowing replacement or addition without major piping redesign. - Control compatibility: The trigger interfaces with typical electrical or pneumatic control signals present in these systems; adaptors or simple wiring changes may be needed for older control panels. - Space and access: Retrofits require sufficient clearance and access for installation and future maintenance; most existing installations accommodate the trigger without structural modification. - Performance: When installed correctly, the Automatic SAC trigger Format restores or improves reliable condensate discharge and system protection, matching factory performance parameters. - Exceptions: Very old, nonstandard, heavily corroded, or custom-modified installations may need additional adaptors, minor piping work, or panel updates. A site inspection is recommended to verify compatibility and identify necessary parts. Recommendation: Arrange a brief site survey by qualified technicians or contact Automatic support with installation details (model, piping size, control type, photos) to confirm retrofit feasibility and ensure correct parts and instructions.
