Is the Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH flame-resistant and rated for 1,000,000 impulse cycles?

Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH is flame-resistant and is rated for 1,000,000 impulse cycles. The product description states an enhanced hose lifespan confirmed by a test of 1,000,000 impulse cycles and specifies that the outer layer is flame-resistant (MSHA). Specifications: EN 856 4SH / ISO 3862-1 4SH, four steel wire reinforcements, oil-resistant synthetic rubber inner and outer layers, working pressure 250â420 bar (by diameter), operating temperature -40°C to +100°C (temporarily +120°C).

What are the recommended installation and bending guidelines for Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH to ensure its 1,000,000-cycle lifespan?

For Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH to achieve the tested 1,000,000-cycle life, follow these installation and bending guidelines: - Minimum bend radius: respect manufacturerâs specified internal bend radius per diameter; where unspecified, use conservative radii ⥠6à hose O.D. during installation and operation. - Avoid sharp bends, kinks and twists; route hoses with smooth curves and maintain bend radius under all pressure/temperature conditions. - Support and secure hoses every 0.5â1.5 m depending on diameter and assembly weight; use clamps that do not compress or damage cover. - Allow axial movement and vibration isolation with swivel fittings, hose guards, or spring guards; avoid torsion load. - Use properly sized fittings compatible with EN 856 4SH/ISO 3862-1 4SH and ensure correct crimping or coupling technique per supplier specs. - Prevent abrasion and protect outer flame-resistant MSHA cover from cutting edges; use sleeves or routing trays where needed. - Maintain operating temperatures within -40°C to +100°C (temporary up to +120°C) and pressures within 250â420 bar by diameter. - Flush and clean system before assembly to avoid contamination; use recommended hydraulic fluids compatible with oil-resistant synthetic rubber. - Inspect periodically for wear, cover damage, leaks, or permanent set; replace hoses showing degradation. Following these practices preserves reinforcement integrity (four steel wire layers) and maximizes service life.

Can Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH be used continuously at +120°C and what are the time limits?

Hydraulic hose EN 856 HI-PULSE 4SH: Continuous use at +120°C is not recommended. The specified operating temperature range is â40°C to +100°C, with +120°C allowed only temporarily. âTemporarilyâ typically means short-duration excursions (minutes to a few hours), not continuous service; extended exposure at +120°C will accelerate ageing of the rubber compounds, reduce burst and impulse life, and can invalidate performance/ warranty. Practical guidance: - Continuous operation: limit to +100°C or below. - Short-term peaks: brief exposure up to +120°C is acceptable for occasional events (emergency runs, brief system purges), but keep duration as short as possible. - Repeated or prolonged exposure at +120°C: avoid. If you expect regular high-temperature duty, choose a hose specified for continuous service at that temperature or consult the manufacturer for validated timeâatâtemperature limits and requalification intervals. If exact permissible durations are required for a specific application, contact the hose manufacturer with duty-cycle, pressure, and environmental details for validated timeâtemperature guidance.
